This spicy mix is a treat to the taste buds!
The pungent hints of mustard and red chillies combined with aromatic spices give the potatoes and cauliflower a burst of exotic flavours you might have never experienced before! All you'll need is:
Ingredients:
4 medium sized potatoes chopped to small pieces
250grams of Cauliflower - about 1/4th of a big cauliflower
1 medium onion finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garlic powder
red chilies to garnish
1 tbsp of lime juice
mustard oil for cooking
Method:
Into the hot oil, throw in the cumin seeds and wait for them to sizzle. Then put in the garlic and onion.
Once the onions turn translucent, put the potatoes in and fry with the remaining spices(chilli powder, turmeric and coriander).
After about 5 minutes of frying the potatoes, in goes the cauliflower. Mix well and cook on low heat for 6 minutes.
Now turn up the heat to medium and cook for another 2 minutes while gently stirring.
Top with lemon juice and garnish with red chillies.
Enjoy this flavourful and spicy treat with some naan breads.
